Independent advice for leadership on technology strategy and application landscape planning: what you run today, where the gaps and overlaps are, and a realistic roadmap for getting where you need to be.
I run large-scale platform selections end to end: gathering requirements across the business, writing the RFP, running scripted vendor demonstrations and scoring, and giving the board a clear, defensible recommendation. I'm vendor-neutral, with no reseller or referral arrangements with any software provider.
I use modern AI tooling to build analytics platforms, internal tools and reports faster, with the controls fund operations need. I also help teams decide where AI fits in their own processes and where it doesn't.
From-scratch implementations, client onboarding and data migrations, plus ongoing support for the accounting and GL modules when your team needs a specialist.
Capital call and distribution notices, investor statements, NAV packs and dashboards, built in FrontReport, QueryBuilder and SQL so they run the same way every quarter.
Practical, hands-on eFront training delivered at your offices and tailored to your team's level, from new joiners to experienced report developers.

You work with me directly, not a team I hand you over to. Engagements run remotely by default, with on-site time when the work needs it.

Led a large-scale system selection to replace an ageing private markets platform: requirements gathered across finance, operations, investor relations and IT, a structured RFP to a shortlist of vendors, scripted demonstrations against real fund scenarios, and a scored recommendation taken to the board.
Rebuilt the firm's portfolio analytics from fragmented spreadsheets into a single platform, using AI-assisted development to deliver in a fraction of the usual time.
Migrated new client books into eFront with reconciled opening positions, so administration could start on day one without parallel running.
Built repayment waterfall calculations and PIK accrual tracing inside eFront, replacing manual workbooks that were hard to audit.

Where I've worked
About
I've spent 20 years working in fund operations and technology for private equity houses, fund administrators, investment banks and development finance institutions, and am a qualified chartered accountant. My deepest specialism is eFront, but I've also worked on a variety of technologies across the entire private markets stack.
That mix means I understand both sides of any fund platform: the fund accounting and investor reporting your team is responsible for, and the scripting, data model and configuration underneath it. I've worked closely with BlackRock Solutions on the product, and I've implemented eFront from scratch as well as rescued estates that had grown hard to change.
More recently I've been building with AI, using it to deliver analytics platforms and tooling much faster than a traditional project allows, while keeping the testing and controls that regulated institutions demand.
I work independently with a small number of clients at a time, so you get my full attention and direct access throughout.
